an interesting thing about a painting is the balance between "some" and "nothing".

one thing i cant live without in the proces is gesso,this lovely white paint wich makes it possible to cover up all mistakes.sometimes i make a painting compleatly full of color composition and then i paint and paint 3 layers of gesso on top.in the process i leave a few significant traces, perhaps they will also disappear later,then we are back with the white surface again
